Inspiration behind starting Atlas Sports

I decided to start Atlas Sports Youth Field Hockey, LLC because I wanted to create a place where young athletes could learn the game the right way — with confidence, creativity, and joy. Over years of coaching, I’ve seen how much players can grow when they’re given the chance to truly understand the fundamentals and develop comfort with the ball at their own pace.  At every level, from our youngest Explorers to our oldest Navigators, ball handling is at the heart of everything we do. The more comfortable a player is with the ball, the more confident they become — not just in their stick skills, but in their decision-making, teamwork, and presence on the field.  That comfort builds trust, courage, and the freedom to play with purpose.  My goal with Atlas Sports is to guide players on their journey — helping them discover the game, build strong foundations, and take pride in their growth.  Each session is designed to meet athletes where they are and give them the tools, support, and encouragement to keep moving forward.  At Atlas Sports, we’re not just building better players — we’re teaching a world of difference.
